What a disappointment we are to ourselves every year. I've never met a person who has actually FULFILLED their new years resolutions. lol. I make some every year hoping to actually make myself proud but instead just end up being a 3D

Funk do BRASIL

This is a new song by a Brasilian group called Gaiola das Popozudas which means Cage of Popozudas. A popozuda you might ask? lol. Brasil is so funny... a popozuda is a girl with a VERY large or nice DONK *we do know what Donk is.. right people?* The singer of the group is named Valeska and it features a very popular Funk (pronounced Funky) artist, MC Catra. I like it so much, its a little unbearable.

Funk is a genre of music that originated in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. There would be parties in the favelas (slums) and Funk would be bumping all night longgggg.

Don't get me wrong, Funk music can be really catchy and fun to dance to but there are certain songs with extremely VULGAR lyrics. Stray away from those and try to enjoy the "clean" versions of funk that many artists are putting out now, they're not too dirty but yet not too dry.

The song is called "Tô que tô pegando fogo" which basically means "I'm catching on fire". This is the edited version, the REAL version.. even I wouldn't sing that one and i've got a sailors mouth at times. lol

SO I'm from Connecticut. When I think of Christmas I see TONS of snow, and freezing cold everywhere. I just realized that the world is bigger than me and not everybody experiences the holiday the same way I do.

My best friend Jesika de Pinho Andrade Barroso, who is now living back in Brasil, took some pretty photos of her city preparing for Christmas. There is no snow, nothing seems cold... but you do feel the essence of what Christmas would look like in a tropical land.

I'm.. kind of in love with Drake. Not with EVERYTHING he does, but for the most part.. it's a mutual feeling between us. We love each other?

The Song +: 4 my town (play ball) by Baby ft. Drake and Weezy is one of my favorites. Baby shouldn't be headlining the song at all, but Drake and Wayne make it sound pretty awesome. I found the video.. I'm ECSTATIC that Drake isn't being too goofy with his arm movements (FINALLY.)

BRASIL.

I like it for SO many reasons, but we won't really go into TOO much detail on that. The list goes ON and ON and ON and ON. My best friend is Brasilian, the majority of my friends are, the boys I lovee, the language I speak. Everything. It's INSANE!!! lol.

I find myself doing the weirdest things at times... answering people who speak english IN português, talking to myself in português, dedicating my iPod to Brasil... it can get creepy. lol.

I taught myself the language in 9 months and have been talking ever since.
As we know, everyone is good at something. Brasil is one of my gifts. (*one of many--* I'm so talented! ^^)

So, I'm starting to play the guitar... I have to say, I'm becoming rather GOOD.

I went on eBay and bought myself this lil guitar. I was a lil pissed off. That Sh*t was like... a lil BABY. A baby guitar. lol. I named him Ukie (aka UKULELE)

My fingers went from hurting a lot from the strings, to peelingggggg, to CALLOUSING! So far, I've been learning a few pop songs and a few country songs but my GOAL is to play

Obviously I do NOT. I'd be surprised if any of you fiends did. It's basically like a secret code language that is not exactly... EASY to learn. I'm not even gonna attempt this one. lol. It's pretty fun to listen to though.

Anyone familiar with Ryan Leslie? Oh, he's just an amazing overlooked artist/producer. You may recognize him from the song he did with cassie entitled: Addiction. Yea, him.
He happens to be one of the most gifted musicians of our time. On his freshman album which was released in 2008, he made a song, it was called Gibberish.

The process he went though to make this song is AMAZING. He actually documented it so you could see it live for yourself!

I've been noticing lately that Hip-Hop is not what it use to be.
There actually use to be real rapping and real messages in the songs.
Kids these days are just more intersested in a

HOT BEAT

rather than a real message at all. For example: That new Drake/Gucci Man joint called In My Business. Gucci goes: "Im So f*cking dumb I got diamonds on my thumb, There's a diamond on my d*ck so that's a diamond on her tongue."

REALLY?... (Not cute.)

I'm not gonna lie, I find the beat to be pretty good. Drake has some hot lines as well... But what is the message? Is it even positive? What is it teaching the youth?
Rappers and singers are very influential and now a days, they are sending out the WRONG messages to the youth. (smh)

NOW,I'm no saint. I haven't been to La Iglesia in like.. a while. This means nothing though, the church world is still moving about without me.
The other day I heard one of the hottest songs on the radio. It had a hot beat and I really started bopping my head to it. I get to the chorus and this female is belting out: "ITS THE GOD IN ME."

I did a

"SAY WHATTTT???"

and turned up the radio. I could'nt believe what I was hearing. The song that had the hot beat, the hot lyrics was actually a CHURCH song? Talking about GOD? *get outttaaa here*

Moral of the story was that it was hottt and that it was actually conveying a good message. I was a lil impressed. I posted the video below.
